Joe Smith Jr. to battle Yasin Rashid in Light Heavyweight main event plus undefeated Juan Dominguez, Rafael Vazquez & Mikkel Lespiere as well as popular Boyd Melson all in action

QUEENS, NY (September 6, 2012)—On Saturday night September 22nd, a historic night of boxing has just got stronger as two undefeated Jr. Middleweights will risk their zeros as Frank Galarza will battle Alantez Fox in the eight round Jr. Middleweight co-feature at the Resorts World Casino New York in Queens, New York.

The show is promoted by New Legend Boxing, Old World Promotions, and W.O.N Promotions.

The main event will feature popular Light Heavyweight Joe Smith Jr. (10-1, 10 KO’s) of Long Island, NY taking on Yasin Rashid (7-2, 2 KO’s) of Brooklyn, NY.

Galarza of Brooklyn has been perfect as he has a record of 7-0 with four knockouts and has been showing great power in his most recent outing as he has racked up three consecutive stoppage victories inside of two rounds.

In his last bout, he took out rugged Yolexcy Leiva in one round on June 8th.

Fox of Forestville, Maryland was an accomplished amateur and has not disappointed as a pro as he is now 7-0 with three knockouts.

The twenty year-old is looking to step up with a significant win after he defeated Fitzgerald Johnson on February 17th.

In a six round Super Bantamweight battle, Juan Dominguez (10-0, 7 KO’s) of Brooklyn takes on Jesus Bayron (5-5, 4 KO’s) of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

Rafael Vazquez (8-0, 6 KO’s) of Brooklyn, NY battles Eddie Irizarry (7-3, 2 KO’s) of Bronx, NY in a six rpund Super Featherweight bout.

Popular Jr. Middleweight Boyd Melson of White Plains, NY (9-1, 4 KO’s) will box Yolecy Leiva (5-4, 4 KO’s) of Nashville, TN.

Elton Dharry (9-5-1, 4 KO’s) of Queens, NY will take on Gabriel Cruz (4-4-1, 1 KO) of Oceanside, CA in a six round Super Bantamweight bout.

In a four round Featherweight bout, Angel Garcia (2-1, 2 KO’s) of Brooklyn, NY will fight Pedro Andres (0-1) Bridgeton, NJ.

In a four round battle of pro debuting Welterweights, Daniel Gonzalez of Queens, NY will square off with Anthony Smith of Brooklyn, NY.

Seeing action in separate four round bouts against opponents to be named will be Jr. Welterweight Mikkel Lespiere (1-0, 1 KO); Featherweight Alan Phalen (0-1) of New York and Heavyweight Vinny Celentano (3-0, 1 KO) of Howard Beach, NY
