Dorin Spivey won the NABA Lightweight title with a ten round majority decision over Rod Salka. It was a close competitive fight that showed Spivey’s work rate won over the grittiness of Salka. Scores were 97-93, 96-94 and 95-95. With the win, Spivey will look for a big fight and his record is now 42-6. Salka is 16-2.
Frankie Flilippone scored a six round unanimous decision over Reggie LaCrete in a Super Middleweight bout Scores were 59-55 on all cards for Fililppone and is now 10-2-1. LaCrete is 4-2-2.
Heavyweight Dorsett Barnwell showed no let down afterhis victory over Joey Dawejko by scoring a fourth round stoppage over Shun Lewis in a scheduled six round bout. Barnwell dropped Lewis in the fourth and the bout was stopped after Barnwell systematically took apart Lewis and the fight was stopped after Lewis complained of an elbow injury. Barnwell is now 8-0 with four knockouts. Lewis is now 5-5-1.
Atlantic City Super Middleweight Antowyan Aikens remained perfect with a methodical six round unanimous decision over Steven Tyner. Aikens won by scores of 59-55 on all cards and is now 6-0. Tyner is 3-7-2.
