Asylum Fight League is back with its latest installment Asylum Fight League 40 on March 2 from the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This 15-bout amateur card will feature some of the top prospects on the East Coast.

In the main event, Anthony Pipola (2-0) fights Adam Pakiela (1-3) in a battle of New York welterweights. Pipola brings an undefeated record into the cage after two hard fought wins via decision. Pipola has great wrestling and cardio and likes to wear his opponents down by outworking them over the course of a full fight. Pipola also has a chin made of granite and is a tough draw for any fighter in the welterweight division. Pakiela is another fighter who likes to take his opponents deep into the fight. With 2 controversial split decision losses on his record, Pakiela is much tougher than his record might imply. Pakiela has worked hard on his cardio and is determined to not let another decision go against him. Look for Pakiela to push the pace early and try to take the fight out of the judges’ hands. This fight has two up and coming fighters with bright futures and a lot to gain from a decisive victory.

In other action, Al Amoroso (0-2) battles Lawrence Perna (0-0) in a heavyweight bout that could just as easily be fought in a telephone booth. Amoroso and Perna are both looking to notch their first victory in this sport. Amoroso will have the decided size and experience advantage. Returning to MMA after a 2 year hiatus, Amoroso is anxious to show the world he is a new and improved fighter. Perna is a compact fighter at only 5′ 10″ he is built like a brick and throws punches with heavy hands. Don’t blink once the opening bell rings as these two will be throwing leather.

Asylum Fight League 40 comes to you live and direct on March 2. With a 15-bout fight card you can be sure there will be plenty of knockouts, submissions and great fights. Don’t miss this exciting event which has become a proving ground for some of the top fighters in the North East. If you can’t be there live, the only way to see this show is to order it exclusively through the GFL Combat Sports Network at GFL.tv.
