CARD SHAPING UP FOR FEBRUARY 9TH KINGS BOXING PROMOTIONS CARD AT RODEWAY INN IN ALLENTOWN, PA

ALLENTOWN, PA (January 31, 2013)—On Saturday night, February 9th Kings Boxing Promotions presents a night of Professional & Amateur boxing that will be headlined by an eight round Jr. Middleweight bout between Keenan Collins and George Rivera.

This will be a rematch of a hotly contested draw that took place on April 27, 2012

Collins of York, PA has a record of 14-7-3 with nine knockouts.

Collins is known as a quality boxer with good power and has only been defeated by the best such as former world title challenger Delvin Rodriguez as well as contenders Gabriel Rosado and Charles Whittaker.

Rivera of Charlottesville, VA is similar to Collins as his record reads 13-7-1 with four knockouts.

Rivera has signature wins over undefeated Lawrence Jones and Jesse Nickelow (19-0-1) as well as former Contender Season 1 contestant Jonathan Reid.

In a special six round co-feature, undefeated John “Apollo Kidd” Thompson risks his perfect ledger when he battles Grayson Blake in a Jr, Middleweight bout.

Thompson of Newark, NJ has a record of 10-0 with three knockouts and has quality wins over Jamond Bourgeois, John Mackey and in his last bout he scored a six round unanimous decision over Ellie Augustama which was part of the Miguel Cotto – Austin Trout card at Madison Square Garden this past December 1st.

Blake of State College, PA has a record of 5-1 with two knockouts. He has a signature victory over then undefeated DeCarlo Perez and now is looking to get back into the win column after dropping a six round decision to Robert Sockwell on November 10th.

A quality undercard has been assembled that will feature three fights scheduled for six rounds.

In a Heavyweight fight, popular William Miranda (6-5-2) of Allentown will square off with Aaron Kinch (4-1-1, 1 KO) of Newark, NJ

In a Super Featherweight fight, Frank De Alba (5-1-2, 2 KO’s) of Bayamon, Puerto Rico takes on Isaac Suarez (7-2, 3 KO’s) in a bout scheduled for six rounds.

In four round bouts, Pennsylvania native Samuel Quinones (0-1) looks to get in the win column when he fights Charles Mack (0-0-1) of Philadelphia, PA

In a four round Heavyweight bout, Eric Newell (4-1-1, 2 KO’s) of Bethlehem, PA takes on undefeated Mark Rideout (2-0) of Philadelphia.

There will be 12 amateur bouts featuring some of the best young fighters from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
