Albuquerque, NM (December 4, 2014) – The official weigh-ins for Triple A MMA XI: Destiny, will take place Friday, December 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. MST at The Fight Shop (6200 Coors Blvd. NW, Suite A-4, Albuquerque, NM 87107). The Triple A MMA event will take place live inside the Camel Rock Casino on Saturday, November 8th with doors opening at 6 p.m. MST and the first fight taking place at 7:00 p.m. MST and streaming LIVE on GFL.TV and will be overseen and sanctioned by the New Mexico Athletic Commission. The event will be emceed by ring announcer James Lindenmuth and, as always, will be free and open to the public.

In the night’s headlining contest, Santa Fe native Angelo “The San I Warrior” Sanchez meets El Paso’s, Brian Castillo. Sanchez has decided that this will be his last fight inside the MMA cage and looks to go out on top with a win in front of his home crowd. Angelo has been a staple in the New Mexico and Southwest region MMA scene, from his championship stronghold in the King of the Cage organization to candidate for 2014 fight of the year inside the Triple A MMA cage against Gabriel “Mogley” Benitez. His presence in the cage will be sorely missed but his presence in the sport will still be felt for years to come. Brian looks to come in and be the spoiler for the evening and give Angelo a send off of his own. Brian has faced other teammates of Angelo Sanchez and both camps has a good feel for one another so sparks should fly inside the steel Saturday night.

One late addition to the card could be the one that steals the show on fight Night. TUF house vet, Frank Lester, will be making his debut inside the Triple A MMA cage against the, always game and always entertaining, Randy McCarty of Red Spider MMA. Frank is on a mission to reel off a win streak and make his way back into the UFC, but first he has his eyes set on a man that is no stranger to the Jackson-Winklejohn. Randy fought on Triple A MMA VII: Rockstars, against Clint Roberts in a bout that found McCarty with a deep cut that caused the fight to be stopped. Randy is now healed up and looking to redeem himself against a name that will sure to propel his stock in the region.

Rounding out the pro card is someone who needs no introduction to the MMA fans in New Mexico, Santa Fe’s own, Jerome Rivera, who was 2013’s SW Fight News, “Amateur of the Year”. With a successful pro debut against Levi Lucero, Jerome faced an injury that sidelined him for most of 2014, but he looks to finish the year off with a statement win against Bio Dog MMA fighter, Rudy Kennedy. Rudy took a last minute fight in the Triple A MMA cage against hard hitting Joseph Veloz out of Texas on the “Rock Solid card in Santa Fe’s Camel Rock Casino. Rudy won his last fight on a controversial referee stoppage due to an armbar. Rudy looks to prove to all his last fight was not a fluke against an opponent that brings in a high MMA pedigree.

In true Triple A fashion, the fight night will see another No-Gi Jiu Jitsu match in the middle of the cage. Quinn Mulhern and Josh Lanier kicked off the inaugural No Gi super fight and Triple A would like to honor one of the many disciplines by hosting this match inside the cage again. This bout will see Purple Belts Jesse Tafoya against Estevan Martinez. This match is a ten minute time limit and is submission only, no points will be issued. This is sure to be an exciting treat to hardcore MMA fans.

*Tickets are an affordable $30.00 for General Admission and $55.00 for cage side. All seats are reserved and available to purchase now online, at www.TripleAMMA.com, or by calling 505-508-0876. *Additional fees online may apply. This is an 18+ event.
