Australia’s leading MMA promotion debuts on on December 6 as Roshambo MMA presents “Roshambo 4” emanating from the Chandler Theatre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. MMA fans, this event is scheduled for 12 bouts on a stacked card featuring the top up and combing prospects inside Australia anchored by 2 title fights.

In the main event, for the welterweight title, Dean Purden (4-5) battles Jay Cobain (5-6-1). Purden is coming off a victory in his last fight and brings a strong grappling game into the cage. Purden is an aggressive wrestler with an unpredictable style. Purden comes out full force from the opening bell and tries to push the pace and force his opponent into making a tactical error. Cobain has all of his wins via stoppage and 4 of them are by tapout. Look for Cobain to try and use Purden’s wrestling against him as if Purden gets the fight to the mat, Cobain will look to go for a submission from the bottom with an armbar or triangle choke.
In other title action, for the women’s featherweight championship, Zoie Shreiweis (1-1) takes on Megan Anderson (1-1) in a rematch where Shreiweis won via decision in 2013. Shreiweis finds herself in a title fight early in her career. Shreiweis is a strong starter and looks to get out early with her striking and adding up points round after round. Shreiweis mixes up her kickboxing attacks well and has improved her ground game recently. Anderson is looking to right a wrong and avenge her only loss. Anderson will look to use her grappling advantage and close the distance and get a takedown where she can work on a submission. This will be a contrast of styles as both women have very different game plans.

Greg Atzori (7-6) fights Brad Terrey (2-2). Atzori is a seasoned fighter who has fought for titles in the past. He looks to put himself in the title hunt once again with a decisive victory over Terrey. Look for Atzori to attack from all angles and go for the KO or submission. Terrey is a durable fighter who want to take the next step in his career. A win over Atzori will do just that. Terrey is looking to get above .500 and will need to rely on his tough chin and punching power to do just that. Both of his wins have come via first round TKO.
