Order Event –

Next Level Fight Club debuts on on February 28 with “NLFC 1”. This event has a stacked lineup, featuring the rising stars of the South as the host site sits centrally located at the Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, North Carolina. NLFC has promised to showcase the sport’s top MMA athletes from the Southeast region and this inaugural show is sure to come out with a bang.

In the main event, for the NLFC Middleweight Title, Jamie Pickett (2-2) fights Carl Darbouze (2-2). Pickett is coming off a spectacular first round win which saw his opponent submit to strikes in 2:00 minutes. Pickett is a power puncher as his other victory came via TKO in the first round as well. Pickett not only brings heavy hands into the cage, but he is a very accurate striker and doesn’t waste a lot of energy as his punches and kicks are very technical which allows him to continue to throw combos right after one another. Look for Pickett to come out early, composed, and throwing haymakers. Darbouze is a veteran on the Florida MMA scene and has wins over some notable fighters from the area including a one-punch KO in the first round of his first fight. Darbouze is also a solid wrestler and can take the fight to the ground if need be. If Darbouze doesn’t like what’s happening in the striking department, look for him to shoot for a takedown on Pickett and get the fight to the mat, where Darbouze can work his top and side control and utilize his compact ground and pound.

In the co-main event, William Baptiste (2-3) takes on Allen Crowder (4-0) in a heavyweight scrap. Baptiste has only been to 1 decision in his career and fights with a high risk-high reward style that always has him in the running for Fight of the Night. Baptiste loves to throw leather and has terrific cardio, especially for a heavyweight. Baptiste has worked tirelessly in the gym to add the grappling aspect to his striking game and vows to show Crowder his all-around MMA skills. Crowder comes into the fight, having never tasted defeated nor been severely tested. Crowder has 3 wins via submission and will look to take the fight to the mat and keep it away from the punching power of Baptiste. If Baptiste can keep the takedowns to a minimum, he will have a chance to end the fight with his striking. If Crowder can work his wrestling game and get the fight to the canvas, it will be an uphill battle for Baptiste.

You won’t find a more thrilling card then this one. Be sure to catch all of the action LIVE on February 28 as Next Level Fight Club presents “NLFC 1” exclusively on pay-per-view at
