Asylum Fight League is back with its latest installment “Asylum Fight League 47” on February 14 from the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This 13-bout card will feature some of the top prospects on the East Coast.

In the main event, for the AFL Lightweight Championship, Cesar Balmaceda (4-1) defeated Brandon Perez (1-1) via unanimous decision. Balmaceda worked well off of his back as Perez was able to get several takedowns. Balmaceda went for multiple submissions from his back and was very active in trying to finish the fight. Balmaceda also scored well in the standup as his striking was on point. Balmaceda won most of the exchanges and near the end of the fight, he was able to keep the fight up against the cage and land some solid knees from the clinch. Even in defeat, Perez showed off a ton of heart and did win the wrestling exchanges as early in the fight he took Balmaceda down and controlled the action from the top.

In other action, Jorge Garcia (2-1) defeated Chris Santopietro (2-1) via guillotine in the first round in a lightweight scrap. Garcia showed off an impressive grappling game and finished the fight after a quick takedown and transition to the fight ending choke. With the win, Garcia puts himself in a strong position to fight for the title next against the Champion Balmaceda.
William Elliott and Michael Gindt both won their fights with KOs, while Raul Pola won his fight via first round guillotine.
