The Australian-based Fightforce has been a proving ground for tons of fighters who have won numerous titles. Fightforce continues to promote the region’s premier up and coming kickboxers as well as the established veterans of the sport. This event was no different, as the main event lived up to the hype.

In the main event, in a World Title Championship bout, Frank Giorgi defeated Tass Tsitsiras via KO in the third round to become the new champion. This was one of the best kickboxing bouts of 2015. The southpaw Tsitsiras, who is renowned for his kicking, landed several brutal body kicks throughout the bout, but Giorgi continued to come forward and counter punch, which racked up points on his behalf. In fact, one of Giorgi’s best weapons was a round kick to the body what he scored time and time again on the taller Tsitsiras. In the third round, Tsitsiras used his height advantage and landed push kicks to keeping the pressing Giorgi at bay for a time. Giorgi started to pick up his pace, throwing three consecutive high round kicks that where blocked by Tsitsiras but the momentum and pace of the fight started to pick up and it was to Giorgi’s benefit. Giorgi backed Tsitsiras up into the corner and after trading more leg kicks, the veteran Giorgi connected with a short left hook that just as Tsitsiras threw a punch of his own. Giorgi’s punch landed first and Tsitsiras went down like a ton of bricks. Giorgi won via KO. It was a great fight by both men, as they each did severe damage to one another, particular to the legs, but in the end Giorgi was able to break down the arms a bit of Tsitsiras as he forced him to block the head kicks and then landed a perfect hook on the button to end the fight.

In the co-main event, for the International Super Heavyweight Championship, Hasem Abdulla defeated Sean Morris via KO in the first round. The bigger Abdulla was able to score with leg kicks and when Morris rushed in to close the distance, Abdulla connected with knees to the chest and face. Once there was separation, Abdulla continued to throw knees and caught Morris flush with a knee to the jaw that knocked him out.
