With five events to look forward to on GFL this weekend, there is a ton of high-quality MMA action for you to enjoy.

To make the viewing experience a tad bit easier, we put together five must watch bouts, starting with the Unified MMA 25 Heavyweight title fight.

Tim “The Thrashing Machine” Hague vs Tony Lopez

In this thrilling Heavyweight matchup, Canadian Tim Hague (20-10) will defend his Unified MMA title against American Tony Lopez (38-20) for the first time. Hague has fought in some of the premier MMA promotions, including the UFC. Though he did not find a tremendous amount of success, his most notable win is a first round submission over Pat Barry. Across from him stands Tony Lopez, whose name may be slightly less known, but he has fought the likes of Jeff Monson and has even beaten Houston Alexander. Though Hague is ten years younger, Lopez’s experience could be the deciding factor. With Heavyweights of this size and stature anything can happen.

Bruno “The Stallion” Marques vs Parwez “The Wolf” Ghulam

This matchup will be packed to the brim with action. Marques (2-1) has proven to be nothing short of an explosive fighter with his heavy hands and tenacious style. With his only loss coming in the Lightweight division, it will be interesting to see if he could find a new home at Featherweight. His opponent Parwez (5-2) is one of the larger prospects in the sport currently. The former Featherweight champion is fresh off a loss and looking for revenge. With all of his victories being finishes, “The Wolf” should be a difficult hurdle for Marques to conquer.

Chavous Smith vs Oscar Valdez

In this co-main event of Xtreme Fight Night 26: “Final Fury,” Oscar Valdez (4-3) will take on bantamweight champion Chavous Smith (8-5). Smith comes in with a bit more experience having fought in both Legacy FC and Bellator. With Smith having gone to a decision only once in his career and Valdez boasting a perfect finish rate be ready for fireworks. Either man could be fighting for UFC next if they pull out a victory this weekend.

Jaymee “Ambush” Jones vs Sarah “Too Sweet” Alpar

If you’re looking for the next potential UFC contenders look no further. With Dana White going on record to say the women’s Flyweight division would be next on his roster; we will most likely see “Ambush” (5-1) charging up their ranks very soon. This proud Cherokee fighter’s sole loss had come in her pro debut. Since then Jaymee has gone on to win five straight, with only one fight going to decision. Sarah Alpar (5-3) comes into this main event tilt red hot, coming off a second round KO. Alpar will look to stop “Ambush” in her tracks on fight night.

“Too Sweet” has an impressive resume herself, having defeated UFC 194’s Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger. If Alpar is able to halt Jones’ streak and get her hand raised, there is no doubt she will be fighting for UFC next.

Grady “Sue” Hurley vs Dustin Rhodes

Grady Hurley (9-2), one of the South’s top MMA prospects, looks to keep his eight fight win streak rolling at V3 Fights. With his last loss being in 2001, Hurley has started to make his case that he belongs on the biggest stage in combat sports. Though quite the underdog, Alabama’s own Dustin Rhodes (3-2) will try to pull off the upset and steal Hurley’s momentum. With two of his three wins coming via armbar, Rhodes will look to grapple and show that he’s ready for anyone.
