Xtreme Caged Combat hosted their 23rd event this past Friday at the National Guard Armory in Philadelphia, PA and once again, it did not disappoint. The event featured 13 bouts and as usual, the venue was packed to capacity. Only 5 fights on the night made it to the judge’s scorecards.

In the main event Dante Rivera BJJ’s Tim Dooling defeated Revolution Academy’s Justin Lesko by TKO after landing a devastating left hook followed by relentless ground and pound until the referee called a stop to the action.

XCC 23 also seen two new amateur champions crowned. In the first amateur title fight Revolution Academy’s Lex Ludlow won the vacant XCC Amateur Middleweight Title after guillotining Renzo Gracie Philadelphia’s Jim Rendiero.

In the second amateur title bout we saw Martinez BJJ’s William Dill dethrone XCC’s current Lightweight Amateur Champion Malon Griffin of Rami Elite by split decision.

Always an avid supporter of Female MMA, XCC once again featured not just one but two female bouts on the card with Budokan MMA’s Taneisha Tennant TKO’ing Primal Gym’s Raquel Salas and Unrivaled Athletic’s Erykka Brletich defeating Dante Rivera BJJ’s Amanda Kramny by decision.

XCC 23’s Fight of the Night Award went out to Martinez BJJ’s Matt Turnbull after he defeated Renzo Gracie Philadelphia’s Mariano Vidro in an exciting back and forth contest that ended via submission.

XCC 24 is scheduled for April 30th at the Sands Event Center/Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and will be headlined with 2 world class bouts in the main and co-main event. The main event will feature 2 World Series of Fighting veterans going head to head when Artur Rofi (6-1 pro) takes on Francisco Isata (7-2 pro).

The co-main event will feature 2 Bellator veterans facing off when Alexandre Bezerra (18-4 pro) takes on Frank Caraballo (14-8 pro).

The plan is to make these two fights in to a four man elimination tournament that will determine who will fight each other for the XCC Professional Featherweight Title at XCC 25.
