With their inaugural April 2nd show creeping up on us, Almighty Fighting Championships have pulled off a coup with the signing of a headline bout which would grace most domestic cards. Having announced their intentions with the creation of a four-man flyweight tournament, the promotion was rocked by the withdrawal of Shamsul Haque due to injury. With Danny Missin due to face Sam Halliday in the other semi-final, an opponent was needed for Elite TC’s unbeaten flyweight Sam Creasey (5-0). AFC have pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the revelation that Cage Warriors veteran and top ten ranked flyweight Paul Marin (11-5) will step into the breach.
“El Empalador” last graced our shores in November 2014 with a second round victory over Gym 01’s Scott Pooley on Cage Warriors 74. Seven of his eleven wins have come by way of knockout, so Marin presents a step up in competition for Creasey.
