Warrior FC was in Harlan, Kentucky on Saturday night, as “Bloody Harlan Havoc” featured a total of 13 bouts.

In the main event, Matt Metts (4-3) successfully defended his lightweight title, as he moved above .500 on his career. Metts took home a decision victory over Brandon Bell (3-5) to retain his title.

In the co-main event, Que Parks Jr. (5-0) kept his perfect record intact by topping 19-year-old Ken Beverly (0-1), who was making his pro debut. Many people didn’t give the young Beverly a shot in the fight, and indeed it was the veteran Parks who came out on top. Parks has now earned stoppages in all five of his victories as a pro.

On the amateur side of things, Cody Miskell (5-2) stepped up on short notice and competed twice on the night. First, he topped Shane Rauhuff (0-1) with a keylock in the first round in the night’s first MMA bout, and then he stepped in for injured champ Justin Goodin and took home the interim heavyweight title with a fifth round TKO victory over Brock Walker (4-6).

In the night’s other title bout, Sandro Pasagic (2-1) took home the welterweight title with a second round submission over hometown favorite Timmy Engle (4-5).
