Joe “Daddy” Stevenson has a long and storied career as an MMA fighter. Stevenson rose to prominence by becoming The Ultimate Fighter 2 Welterweight Tournament Winner. This propelled him to the UFC where he fought such great fighters such as Nate Diaz, BJ Penn, Josh Neer, and Kurt Pellegrino, having beaten Diaz and Pellegrino. His UFC career culminated with a title shot for the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship against B.J. Penn, which he lost. His current record is 32-16 having finished 22 of his opponents.

After leaving the UFC Stevenson seemed to take some time off having fought only 3 times since June 2011, having fought once in 2012 and then not entering the cage again until January 2015. Though he lost that bout after 5 rounds by split decision it appeared to be a rejuvenated fighter. His next fight was only a month ago when he beat tough Daniel McWilliams by TKO/Punches after only 1:21 of the first round.

Gabriel “Biel” Miglioli our of Sao Paulo, Brazil will be the toughest opponent he has seen in a very long time, probably since he fought Javier Vazquez in 2012. AT 9-7 Miglioli is at a crossroad in his career. Like Stevenson he has been in the game a long time. He recently lost to Johnny Cisneros at Bellator 141 by decision.

Both fighters have fought and beat fighters that are still in the upper echelon in the sport. If either fighter wants to regain relevance and have an opportunity to ascend to prominence this the fight to start that process.

Should be a great fight to watch.
