FCC Promises Heavy-Hitting Finishes; Leary Looks to Defuse “C4”
FCC are proud to reveal the initial undercard bouts for FCC 17, Leary vs Sinclair, which takes place on September 24th at Manchester’s Event City.
The #UNITALARM will ring loud and proud as heavy-hitting Bellator veteran Karl Etherington takes on Poland’s Kamil Bazelak. The pair first met on BAMMA 19, where the experienced Pole scored a huge upset TKO victory in the first round. Etherington – who’s only other loss came at the hands of Bellator and WWE star Bobby Lashley – will be looking for revenge on September 24th.
FCC hero Brett ‘The Spartan’ McDermott returns home after plying his trade on both BAMMA and Japan’s RIZIN promotion. The former FCC amateur champion was a linchpin of the promotion’s early events, and will look to get back on track following a recent defeat when he takes on renowned light-heavyweight gatekeeper Dan Konecke.
The bout will be McDermott’s first as a pro in the FCC cage.
After a barn-storming welterweight debut at FCC 16, Ashley ‘The Beast’ Reece will jump straight back into the fray against fearless slugger Ant Davies. Davies is arguably the hardest hitter Reece has faced to date and is eager to steal the FCC prodigy’s thunder.
Elsewhere on the card, undefeated ‘Smooth’ Sam Spencer faces Alliance BJJ’s Brent Crawley in a bantamweight showdown.
FCC 17 will continue the promotion’s legacy of matching the UK’s hottest up-and-coming talents for it’s much sought-after amateur titles.
Recently crowned amateur middleweight champion Jenaid Ebanks (6-0 AM) of Apex MMA takes on FCC amateur light heavyweight champion, FCPC’s Brent Tierney (4-1 AM) for the former’s 185lb title.
