GFL PRESENTS “WITHERSPOON VS BEALE” BEGINNING JULY 28

July 25, 2014

GFL, The Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet continue their weekly combat sports series, REAL FIGHTS, with world class boxing as Peltz Boxing presents another show stopper with Peltz Boxing: Witherspoon VS Beale featuring a full lineup of prize fighting emanating from West Deptford, New Jersey.

Heavyweight contender, Chazz ‘The Gentleman’ Witherspoon returns to the ring after a two-year absence when he takes on Tyabb Beale in an 8-round bout at the Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford, New Jersey. The show is promoted by Witherspoon’s Silver Spoon Promotions. Beale of Newark, New Jersey has a record of 9-4-1 with three knockouts and is 7-1-1 over his last nine bouts. Beale has been a pro since 2007 and has victories over Nate James (6-1) and Aaron Kinch (4-0-1). He is coming off a 2nd round stoppage defeat to top undefeated prospect Charles Martin on March 1st.

“I take Tyyab Beale very serious as an opponent, and that is the same way I feel about all my opponents,” Said Witherspoon. “He’s a big strong guy that weighs about 245 pounds, and from what I’ve seen of him he has a particular skill set that he brings to the table. I know I am the most experienced person that he has faced thus far in the ring, and I will look to utilize that to my advantage.” “I believe it’s going to be an exciting action packed fight. I feel great after the long layoff, and even though I haven’t been fighting regularly, I’ve still been in the gym the whole time.”

“I feel good and rejuvenated after the layoff,” said Witherspoon.

“I haven’t been out this long because I wanted to. I had several fights fall through, so I decided to start my own company and do my own shows and I can’t wait until July 12 to put on a great event not far from where I live,” said Witherspoon.

In the six-round co-feature, undefeated Middleweight Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna of Millville, NJ will take on Zain Shah (5-3, 3 KO’s) of Centerville, VA in a Middleweight bout.
