Sparta Combat League returns on GFL with “Redemption”, a stacked MMA card on February 22 from the Grizzly Rose in Denver, Colorado.  This event promises to be full speed from bell to bell as these pros and amateurs will do battle in the cage in both MMA and Muay Thai.

Anjel Osiris (2-4) takes on SCL Heavyweight Champion “Big” Steve Paprocki (3-1) in a heavyweight tilt.  Both of these gladiators swing for the fences and this fight is bound to have tons of fireworks.  Osiris has never been out of the first round and every fight he has been a part of has been a contender for fight of the night.  Look for Osiris to come out swinging his big powder keg hands in the direction of Paprocki.  Paprocki is a well-rounded heavyweight who can end a fight with his fists or on the ground with some solid grappling.  Paprocki is on a 3-fight win streak and looks to build on that momentum with another victory over the dangerous Osiris and grow his legend in the Rockies.

Nicholi Navarro (2-1-1) squares off against Adam Vigil (3-5-1) in a lightweight tilt.  Navarro has only been to a decision once and he loves to fight with a high risk-high reward style that makes him a fan favorite.  Vigil has fought for titles in the past and wants to finish Navarro in spectacular fashion to set up another championship bout.  Vigil has all 3 of his wins via stoppage.

In the Muay Thai pro ranks, Willie Smalls takes on Brian Scraper at 185 lb. Smalls is a two-sport athlete as he is also a MMA fighter.  Smalls found success in MMA with his fists and is looking to transfer those skills into Muay Thai.  Scraper is also an MMA fighter and possesses an assortment of skills that will be off limits in this strictly striking bout.  Look for Scraper to close the distance and land knees and punches from the inside while trying to avoid Small’s vicious overhand right and left hook.

Garrett Culpepper fights Jay Orallo in a pro Muay Thai fight in the 170 lb division.  Culpepper is a very technical fighter that likes to keep his distance and score with leg kicks and body kicks that keep his opponent constantly on the defensive.  Orallo is fearless and will trade strikes with anyone.  Orallo has a granite chin and will try and close the distance and make this a brawl.  Orallo is as tough as they come and will be in the center of the cage looking to bang.

Also on the loaded docket, Brittney Boone versus Hanna “The Hammer” Schaefer at 110 lb, Mario Suazo goes up against Phil Gonzalez in the bantamweight division and Aaron “The Hitman” Scott and Anthony Adams at welterweight.

Sparta Combat League is sure to bring down the house once again as they have quickly grabbed a chokehold on Mountain West MMA and this show will continue in that tradition.  Order “Redemption”, and watch live and anytime afterwards on video on demand only on GFL.
